Thankful For Another Year

Today is a very interesting day because IT IS MY BIRTHDAY (July 25th). I am 22 today and I would say I have grown a lot and I am thankful to God for so many things, I see life in a different way. But before I go into details, I know everyone is suppose to receive a gift on their birthday, but who says you can't give yourself a little treat. I have a thing for shoes, so I decided to get myself a pair of shoes that I wouldn't normally get for myself. I saw this shoe online, and It was perfect. I have never owned a transparent shoe before, and I was never a big fan, they normally scream stripper shoes to me. But this shoe screamed classy and different.

What I thank God for

1) For allowing me to see another year, not everyone has that privilege.

2) For my amazing family, that supports and does not judge me in whatever I choose to do with my life, I really cherish that.

3) The most amazing friends who always put a smile on my face and are there to help whenever I'm in need (they are all spread in different parts of the world) sigh!.

4) The most amazing boyfriend any girl can have. I thought I had been in love before, but he proved me so wrong. lol

5) The blessings God has been showing me, If I really have to write everything down, it would take days.

6) For giving me peace and happiness. People always ask me why I'm always smiling, I always reply why should I be frowning. I'm just happy with life, and I tend to surround myself with people that love and bring positive energy around me. it makes life a lot easier.

Happy Valentine!!

Valentine's Day is the day to show people who are close to you how much you appreciate them. Althought some people might feel they can't enjoy it because they don't have a girlfriend or a boyfriend to share it with (get your mind outta there). If you have a partner go out and have fun, if you don't, still go out and have fun with people close to you (friends, coworkers, family etc). I see it as just a they to go out of the ordinary to do something special for someone, so don't think its only for love birds ;).

Don't worry, be happy

I was a little sad yesterday because I am not really expecting much on my bday because it's gonna be a really busy day. But I feel quite happy and chill today. I guess part of it is being able to experience another year in this world with people that I love. Life is a precious gift, so when your feeling down on your birthday, just remember not everyone has a chance to experience one (especially with people they know that love them).

I feel blessed

This week, I've been catching up with highschool longtime friends, my best friends, loved ones and chilling with my girls here in Canada (but it's sad we don't chill as often as before due to our schedules). All the talking and chatting I had with them made me realize the wonderful friends that I have. They are part of the reason why I feel that my Life is almost perfect. They are just some of the blessings in my life, and it got me thinking about a  lot of things. They always have my back and help me out when I feel I am confused about certain Issues. Althought some of them are faraway, they still seem close by. As for my parents, I believe I have the coolest, chill and most awesome parents ever. They are too understanding, they never stress me out and support me in whatever I do, and I have come to a place in my life where I can tell my mum anything and she advices me (your mum is the best person to ask for advice). I am just thankful for everything!! :) 

But, what I would like to share today is that one should never take life or people around you for granted. There will be ups and downs, but just see the downside as an experience, lesson or a way to let you know that something greater and better is waiting for you ahead. Also one should definitely keep family close, because no matter what, your family will always have your back.

         Life is never perfect, so do not look at anyone's life and wish you were in their shoes because you can never tell what they are going through. Just live life and be true to yourself.    

Don't be like those who don't know they have it good until it's taken away from them.
